I bought this over 2 years ago, at 150 dollars.I use it to backup my Bluray movies, and many other things.Ive used this disk to its full capacity. No problem at all with overheating, it gets a little hot but never burning hot.The hard drive is beautiful, very stylish and I like the contrast of blue lights. I may even buy another one this christmas, as i am having trouble keeping all of my files in just one 1TB HDD.
